KidVenture is one of our most favorite places EVER! There were several days last year when Bailey & I would be at the hospital that Alex would take Hannah to play & she always raved about how much fun she had. It was always a well deserved "fun day" for her in the midst of all the new things in our lives. The first time Alex took her, I grilled him when we got home about how often he sanitized her hands & did he make her change her clothes when they got home, etc. He just laughed & assured me that even I would've been happy with their sanitization procedures & he said that he'd even feel comfortable taking Bailey there to play because someone was constantly going around & wiping things down.
Until Hannah's birthday this year, I had never been, it had always just been their thing. She loves it so much that we rented out half of the facility for her 4th birthday so we could go play & celebrate by ourselves (we did invite one little friend, so it wasn't just us). It was a GREAT day & the girls loved having free reign of the place.
After the article about the toy drive ran in The Huntsville Times, the owner of KidVenture contacted me & offered to let us come play after hours. She said she didn't realize the extent of what we were going through & she really wanted to let the girls have somewhere they could go to get out of the house. I was, & still am, floored at her generosity! We've definitely taken her up on her offer & we've gone several times & played in the mornings before they open. It truly is the ONLY place Bailey goes (that involves getting out of the car) other than the hospital, so it's a fantastic thing to see the smiles on their faces when they get to run & play together somewhere other than at home!
