Day 2 of parks - We headed to see some animals at The Animal Kingdom, came home for a break in the middle of the day, then the girls got their hair done & we went back to see The Magic Kingdom at night. Our park tickets included 3 days at WDW parks, 2 at Universal & 1 at SeaWorld, with park hopper, meaning that you can go to more than one park a day. So I planned for revisits to coincide with days where we had already been at at Disney park earlier in the day.
Yummy breakfast before heading out to Animal Kingdom.
An entire wall of dolls & stuffed animals in the Gingerbread house.
Swung by the villa for a potty break before heading out & saw this gray/albino squirrel on the way. Had to get a picture because none of us had ever seen one that color before.
Headed to the Kilimanjaro safari.
The tree of life!
stopped on the way to the safari for a quick pic with Flik
Dancers in Africa...
Going on a SAFARI!!
This time the animals are real...a black rhino
Hippos asleep under water...their bodies automatically rise to the surface to breathe when they need air...thought that was pretty amazing!
This giraffe was crazy close!
Such a beautiful day!
monkey & her baby
Baobab tree
pretty pink flamingos
If you look really closely, you can see a lion sunning on the rock right in the center of the picture.
Ostrich crossing
Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch & petting zoo area.
On the way to the petting zoo area but first we have to stop to climb!
Chip n Dale!!! Dale was one who made the hanging pen into a game :)
so cuddly
High fives from the chipmunks!
Loving all the animals on the wall.
Always a fan of a snake...they feel so smooth!
meeting Rafiki from The Lion King
His face is slightly creepy, but the girls didn't seem to care! lol
huge frog skeleton from the exibits!
GOATS!!
we soooo need a farm!
B the goat whisperer!
Daddy has jokes!
Just finished up a treat...the girls each had a chocolate dipped Mickey ear ice cream but there are no pictures of the actual pops or the eating because everything was melting so fast!
Another picture straight into the sun but it's still pretty great & I'm so glad to have one in front of the tree.
I'll just hide in Hannah's shade...whatever works Bbug!
Ready to watch the 4D bug movie
We just stumbled into the Mickey & Minnie meet & greet because Alex pointed it out as we were exiting the bug movie.
Another of my favorites from the trip!
Mickey got some big hugs!
You can't even hide that grin behind a huge mouse!
It's nice to have such a strong Daddy!
We didn't get a signature from Balou & King Louie but they did stop briefly to interact as they were walking to their station...their "handler" said they had to keep moving.
too sweet...blowing bye bye kisses
Souvenir Disney babies...a baby giraffe for H & baby Minnie for B.
We left Animal Kingdom around 1 or 2 & came home for a bit of a rest before our late night at Magic Kingdom. Daddy still wasn't feeling 100% so he took a few minutes to nap & I took the girls to the pool.
3 little minions! (This fire hydrant was across the street from us so we had to get a picture of it on the way to the pool...there was also a Harry Potter hydrant & an ice cream one, but pics of those didn't happen.)
Truly a gorgeous pool, high end hotel quality & I'm so sad we didn't have more time to spend in it!
B the model posing with Mayor Clayton & Ms Merry by the pool.
Fantastic splash pad area too.
Even a "surfing" photo op wall!
Popcorn at the snack bar to eat while walking back home.
BUBBLES!!!
Headed to The Grand Floridian to get their hair done (it's already pretty perfect, but it's all about the experience!).
Checking out the lobby at The Grand Floridian.
We may need to work on their "lady like sitting" lol
H is all done...dusting off the excess pixie dust...I'm not sure it's all out of her hair even now!!
curls, curls & more curls!
Yep, they're officially real princesses now!
Back at the Magic Kingdom for dinner & the Electrical Parade!
I think B is kinda over the pictures lol
Waiting on Tink to sign her book.
She was asking them if they made their dresses too...nope, we just bought ours!
Headlock or hug? lol
We had planned to do a few other things between meeting Tink & eating dinner, but it started raining & no one wanted to get their hair or dresses wet so we decided to check in for our reservation & just wait. This was the longest we waited anywhere & they were OVER IT, probably 45 minutes of trying to entertain them in the floor while being hungry & tired...whew!
FINALLY seated at Tony's Town Square...it's the Lady & the Tramp restaurant & it was DELICIOUS!!
Ready to EAT!!
Daddy & his princesses!
my 3 loves
We also got special seating at the parade which I didn't really expect! They put us in the handicapped area, & we had front row seats right at the start where all the floats came out.
I got the pics of the girls & Daddy got all the floats, but for some reason we're having trouble getting the pics off his phone & sent to me.
Hi Alice!!
Cinderella in her pumpkin carriage!
I think this was one of the most magical things for them, the look of excitement & wonder from their sweet faces lasted the entire parade!
The Prince with the glass slipper!
The Tremaines...the evil step sisters from Cinderella...they were in pink & teal dresses like the girls so they kept pointing & waving at us!
Captain Hook
Smee
Here come the Seven Dwarfs & Snow White!
Sneezy
Pete's Dragon!!
